Can you be open enough to see beyond your wildest imagination? Will you allow yourself?

Posted by Michelle on September 14, 2008

Good Morning.

Wow – I am blown away by your story Maya. For you this must’ve been especially amazing. What am I saying?!…For ANYONE…this would be as you said, ’stunning’.  We have all been told by the aliens on my blog  that religion was a myth made up for humans to keep us in line so to speak. That without religion we would pretty much be more greedy and more barbaric to each other and that because of the ‘fear of God’ many ‘behave’ just that much more kind to each other…if you can call this world ‘kind’.

Hmmm…I find it quite amusing that dear Elijah wished he had taken on that ‘job’ of Jesus. I wish that I was with you Girls to experience this fascinating planet Jehu and to sip wine with Elijah. (Girlz to be: A test was given. No one wrote in to acknowledge the test.) Please tell him if you visit again that I would be delighted to meet him too.  I love those with a great sense of humor, and he obviously has one.

Still…I am curious as to where Jesus is residing now. Perhaps a trip there sometime?

Hi Courtney:  Not sure if you were talking about my article or Maya’s story but either way happy that you read what you needed to hear.

Hello Barbara:  Open your mind. Is it not possible for there to be other life forms other than us humans?  To me that is not a difficult thing to imagine let alone be a reality. To me strong female role models are women who aren’t trapped by what society expects or pinned to any ideology. A strong female role model doesn’t close her mind to those things that can not be proven, but looks past the obvious and sees the possibilities of what is not seen. I am open and boundless with my imagination, my thoughts…etc., and if I can inspire women, or men to being more open and courageous in their thinking, to see another side and not be so heavily influenced by what society imparts on them…to have a mind of their own, then I am happy to be a role model if that is what I am seen as.  But don’t expect me to be a role model strictly under the definition of your role model.

I think Shelly was talking to you and I have to agree with her words, as I have said them before….’If it bothers you don’t read it’. And I will add, “Read what you like, what inspires you, but I might also suggest to try to be open to the possibilities of other worldly existence.  You certainly can not prove that there isn’t. Obviously you have been reading here for a while and you keep coming back.  There’s a reason for this. You might learn something valuable about yourself if you can expand your mind. :) Will you allow yourself?

Hey Charles: No, all men aren’t bad and no one is saying they are. You do have company :)

Hello Anon:  I’m not sure why you are reading this shit – why are you? And by the way ’sacred’ to me is a term that is different for everyone…What is sacred to one may not be sacred to another. No one is insulting religion; just giving another viewpoint. If you don’t like it, there are plenty of other blogs that will identify with your religion. Bit if you want something to shake up your world, give you another viewpoint, expand your mind, then stick around.

Hi Tony:  I’m sure you’ve heard of the ‘boys club’…well, for once in this world, this is  the ‘girls club’. Sorry, no one with a head between their legs is allowed. :-P

Hi Annie:  The girls are picked if they state an interest in going. Simple as that. We had a ‘call’ awhile ago but I am sure that there is room for more. You can try emailing me but it is my instinct that Tal will be reading this and he will get ahold of you.

Hi Yuki:  To my knowledge there are girls from all over the world up in space now. If you would like to be considered, I am assuming you are asking, yes? Then, I am pretty sure you will be contacted.

Hello women of Cambodia! Thank you for the ‘love’.

Hi Umeyo:  Would you like to be a girl too? 女の子であるのを好むもか。

Running late…got to sign off. As always…

Gratefully your blog host,

michelle

Women against Sarah Palin

Posted by Michelle on September 10, 2008

I’m just going to roll with it again today. I got blasted with the below email from girlfriends and I just had to pass it along.  I figure if I am getting an email this many times from women who aren’t even connected to each other then something big must be going on.  Here’s the email:

Friends, compatriots, fellow-lamenters,

We are writing to you because of the fury and dread we have felt since the announcement of Sarah Palin as the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Republican Party. We believe that this terrible decision has surpassed mere partisanship, and that it is a dangerous farce on the part of a pandering and rudderless Presidential candidate that has a real possibility of becoming fact.

Perhaps like us, as American women, you share the fear of what Ms. Palin and her professed beliefs and proven record could lead to for ourselves and for our present or future daughters. To date, she is against sex education, birth control, the pro-choice platform, environmental protection, alternative energy development, freedom of speech (as mayor she wanted to ban books and attempted to fire the librarian who stood against her), gun control, the separation of church and state, and polar bears. To say nothing of her complete lack of real preparation to become the second-most-powerful person on the planet.

We want to clarify that we are not against Sarah Palin as a woman, a mother, or, for that matter, a parent of a pregnant teenager, but solely as a rash, incompetent, and altogether devastating choice for Vice President. Ms. Palin’s political views are in every way a slap in the face to the accomplishments that our mothers and grandmothers and great-grandmothers so fiercely fought for, and that we’ve so demonstrably benefited from.

First and foremost, Ms. Palin does not represent us. She does not demonstrate or uphold our interests as American women. It is presumed that the inclusion of a woman on the Republican ticket could win over women voters. We want to disagree, publicly.

Therefore, we invite you to reply here mail to:womensaynopalin@gmail.com with a short, succinct message about why you, as a woman living in this country, do not support this candidate as second-in-command for our nation. Please include your name (last initial is fine), age, and place of residence.

We will post your responses on a blog called “Women Against Sarah Palin,” which we intend to publicize as widely as possible. Please send us your reply at your earliest convenience.  The greater the volume of responses we receive, the stronger our message will be.

Thank you for your time and action.

VIVA!

Sincerely,

Quinn Latimer and Lyra Kilston
New York, NY
womensaynopalin@gmail.com mailto:womensaynopalin@gmail.com

**PLEASE FORWARD WIDELY! If you send this to 20 women in the next hour, you could be blessed with a country that takes your concerns seriously. Stranger things have happened.

Thoughts?

What I like about this letter is that it is so right on. It expresses what I feel and obviously what so many other women feel.  I’m not a mother nor do I plan to be one but that doesn’t mean that I don’t care about my rights as a woman.  You all have heard me bitch about this enough to know my thoughts on this. So ‘It isn’t anything personal Sarah Palin, although personally I would like to slap you in the face. After all that is what you are doing to the women who fought so hard for our rights that we have today.’

Like I said in the past, and I don’t mind repeating myself: Do the republicans think that just because Palin is a woman that any woman will do? How insulting.  Now, I know I have said before when many of you thought that Hillary wasn’t the right woman to run the country, that Hillary, although a qualified woman, certainly couldn’t do any worse than any man we’ve elected.  Let’s give her a chance to prove herself. We’ve let lesser men run this country, including our current President. And many of my girlfriends still said no. But this woman, this Palin, she is like Bush in a woman’s body. Forget about a pit bull wearing lipstick…she’s Bush in drag….and looking pretty good. Take out the ‘L’ in Palin and she could be a huge ‘Pain’. How can women in their right mind even consider her?!

So if you want to give your two, email these girls. I wish that the email had included the blog address but it didn’t,  so I decided to take a chance and google ‘Women against Sarah Palin’. And to my surprise there were quite a few websites/blogs that had varying names: ‘Women against Sarah Palin’, ’Women against Palin’  Wow, people, especially women (no surprise) are really not liking this woman. With a little bit more perseverance I did finally find the blog where this original letter came from.

I will add that after reading a few readers comments, a post was made on the blog on the 8th, addressing corrections that Quinn and Lyra had made in the letter. In all fairness, I wanted to also include it also in my post today:

Dear readers,

Because we are disgusted and disheartened by the smear-campaigns, exaggerations, and outright lies that are so prevalent in our political landscape, we want to clarify two facts that we got wrong.

In our initial letter, sent out on Wednesday night, we stated that Governor Palin fired the librarian in Wasilla. In fact, while she did send the librarian a termination letter, after great public dissent (i.e. community organizing), she retracted it.

Secondly, Ms. Palin is not anti-birth control. She is a member of FFI, Feminists for Life, an anti-abortion, pro-birth control organization.

We apologize.

Unfortunately, during her speech at the Republican Convention last week, Ms. Palin read from a script that contained many egregious falsehoods about her opponent’s record, intentions, and policies. We hope that she too (or her scriptwriters at any rate) might have the integrity to come forward and admit their errors.

But we won’t hold our breath.

Lyra & Quinn

Lastly, this original letter was sent to 40 women on September 3rd and by yesterday, the girls above claim they have received more than 40,000 responses – way to go!  I have yet to email my thoughts but I will – how about you?

Palin Put-on: Wish I had thought of it!

Posted by Michelle on September 9, 2008

I keep thinking that I want to write about something more uplifting and inspiring every morning but I keep coming back to the same topic. I really don’t want this blog to turn into a political arena – how boring and un-fun that would be.  I can only handle so much of this…but okay, I know it is on the minds of everyone and obviously mine too. It is the future of our country…and taking a back seat on this one would just be….well, stupid, for lack of a better word. Hell enough people have been using this word, I might as well.  Can’t deny the truth.

Anyway, as always, I am all about fun and if I can throw it in every once in awhile and lighten it up, shit yeah, I’m going to. Life is serious but c’mon it’s hella fun too. Thanks to one of my sources out there – you know, my paid staff that peruses the net for me and kindly emails me cool stuff to write about (Ha! – Don’t I wish!)…Someday….but fortunately for me, I do have sources; really, just some cool friends who think like me.

Anyway, as I was saying, thanks to one of my sources out there…

I was telling my girlfriend Tracey the other day how I felt my blog has really helped me in so many ways…blah blah blah….don’t want to bore you with the details…How I feel so dedicated to my readers: I feel I need to be informed, to relay as up to the minute as I can…blah blah blah…is this boring or what? It was heavy, and as I mentioned, ‘Where is the fun?’ Okay, so that evening in my email box, Tracey (thank you:), sent me  a link to Sarah Palin’s, yeah, I know I can’t seem to get away from politics today, BLOG! I bet you didn’t know she had one – I didn’t.  Really…stop reading right now and click on over. I’ll wait.

La la la la la…ho hum…..

Back so soon?  Hilarious yes?  I thought you’d dig it. I know, you got to go back for more. Whoever wrote this…wha’at!? – You actually thought Palin wrote this?  Ahahha! Okay, I’m just having a little fun this morning…It is pretty funny though. Wish I thought of it – you know, I have so much spare time writing MY blog, hell why not write hers too?

~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey Miki:  Thanks for sending the lovers poem. I can’t tell you how many times I have read it and each time I  discover something revealing in the words so beautifully written.  Do you have no other information about this? I am so curious if he ever reclaimed his princess; his love.
When you mentioned this letter it seems it was from the past, I think.  I know we are linear beings and in space everything is different including time. But for some reason I feel as if it came from the future. Not sure why I feel this way. Is there anything else you can tell us? Maybe something more will come through.
helloo Curious: Good question.  ‘Magical’ is very different from being higher on the evolutionary scale. Could these aliens be ‘magical’ or does the prince just use that word because what is higher intelligence to one may look like ‘magic’ to one who is of lesser intelligence?  I sense he is saying something to her that if others read would only be revealing or make sense to her. Again, just my gut. Thanks for pointing that out. Maybe Miki will be able to tell us more.
Hi Anon: I am sad for you. I will, as I am sure ZL will also, continue to write about such important topics.  Women are at the top of my list. Be well.
Just a quickie….Hi Doug, Zen Lill and Anonz….just couldn’t end my blog without saying hello – happy to see your words as always on my blog.  Gotta run…
Readers: Comments, thoughts, or just want to bitch about something? Blog me.
Peace and love: live it, give it.
michelle
This n’ that chit-chat…
Posted by Michelle on September 8, 2008
Hi Miki:  I know I would enjoy the love letter;  I am an incurable romantic, so please post it so I can delight in the excitement and passion of it. I’m sure there are many readers who would appreciate it too.
And…I agree with you wholeheartedly – you should not lose your emotional connection to events that you encounter especially in areas of love…to feel love, be loved, and make love. Yummy.
Hi Nicole: Not sure what  you mean by ‘letting space aliens in and keeping earth aliens out.’ Are you talking about getting in on my blog or something else?  Hmm.. too early for me to tell so I will move on.
But in answer to your inquiry and Cady’s comment, Palin is going to be interviewed, supposedly  by ABC’s Charles Gibson  later on this week for her first television interview. She better be.  I hear ya loud and clear.  She needs to be interviewed, especially on questions besides those about her family. Been there, done that, move on. She’s running for veep; its time to put her into the pits. Of course, Fox News would rather not:
“Why would we want to throw Sarah Palin into a cycle of piranhas called the news media that have nothing better to ask questions about than her personal life and her children?” Davis said. “So until at which point in time we feel like the news media is going to treat her with some level of respect and deference, I think it would be foolhardy to put her out into that kind of environment.”
Blah, blah blah…throw her into the piranhas – we need to see how she handles herself. ‘Palin, if you can’t handle the news media asking questions about your family how are you ever going to be able to handle tougher questions that deal with, HELLO, The World!’ Besides I’m sick of hearing about her family, let’s deal with some real world issues now and see what this woman is made of. After all she is a ‘pit bull with lipstick’ – she said so herself – so throw her in the pits! Let her prove she’s a woman of mettle if she can.   I want to know if she could handle it.  Tell me, if she were a man, would she be getting this treatment? I think not. This sequestering is bs, and if she truly was ready to do the job she would be demanding the interviews herself, and saying screw you to the Repugs who are obviously controlling her every move….’only if it serves the tickets purpose’, only if it’s in our best interest.’ Ah…how about if it serves the people’s purpose and it’s in the best interest of the people!  She could be our next President should McPain get in and kick the bucket. You said it Brenda:  McPain would rather win the election than leave his country with a qualified veep.
Hi Donna: Ditto – And like Palin can replace Hillary just because she is a woman. What a slap in the face to the intelligence of women…Like any woman will do. – yeah right. I am a Hillary supporter and Hillary she is not.  But Palin seems to think she can get the women voters. Unfortunately she will get the pro lifers and for those that won’t do their research, and base their decision on her ‘prepared’ speeches, yes Sylvia, she’ll snag those dumb ones too.
Speaking of doing your research, Doug found something very interesting: Anne Kilkenny is a resident of Wasilla, and an informed democrat  who attended every city council meeting in Palin’s first year in office. Anyway, she sent an email to her mom in California on Aug 31, 2008, and by Sunday the email was in the hands of 48 people.
As of last night, it got emailed to thousands and more as has finally reached the Huff. And, she has been interviewed by the NY Times and NPR recently since the email blast.  Interested in hearing what she had to say about Palin? You can read the Anne Kilkenny email on Sarah Palin that everyone is talking about at Doug’s blog today.
Hey ZL: I didn’t read it all either…too much bs to swim through.  Madaline, as always has such a way with words and is so right on – ya gotta love her. Looking forward to your response to, as Maddie’s calls him, ‘the little penis wonder’ – ahahha! That is just too funny. I would love to hear from a muslim man who will not only call the Koran like it truly is but stand up for equality too. Anyone out there? Ah…maybe too much to ask.
Oh..before I forget, I will end it with this pretty incredible and eye opening video that the Huff put out. It is around 9 minutes long but worth the see. Since Obama’s church was put to the test, how about a view of Palin’s Sunday go?
Readers:  Thoughts? Blog me.
Peace out and always….
michelle
Scammed again?
Posted by Michelle on September 5, 2008
I need a break from this election especially after McCant’s speech last night. I just found him to be so farce and uninspiring.  Really, that’s about all the space I want to give him on my blog. If you’re looking for praise from me, you won’t find it here.
But here’s something that I will praise….useful information that could save my ass someday or at least my wallet…something I don’t necessarily think the Repugnicants care about. There’s another scam out there ready to attack…no I’m not speaking about our current administration’s actions, although I wouldn’t put anything past them after what Maddie informed us of yesterday.
Anyway, here it is thanks to a friend who gave me a heads up. Be aware of these scammers who call YOU on the phone. This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the information, except the one piece they want.
One of our employees was called on Wednesday from ‘VISA’, and I was called on Thursday from ‘Master Card’. The scam works like this: Caller: ‘This is (name), and I’m calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge number is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern, and I’m calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketing Device for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in Arizona ?’
When you say ‘No’, the caller continues with, ‘Then we will be issuing a credit to your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges range from $297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that flags most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be sent to (gives you your address), is that correct?’
You say ‘yes’. The caller continues – ‘I will be starting a Fraud investigation. If you have any questions, you should call the 1- 800 number listed on the back of your card (1-800 -VISA) and ask for Security.You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you a 6 digit number. ‘Do you need me to read it again?’
Here’s the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works. The caller then says, ‘I need to verify you are in possession of your card’. He’ll ask you to ‘turn your card over and look for some numbers’. There are 7 numbers; the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security Numbers that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have the card. The caller will ask you to read the 3 numbers to him. After you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he’ll say, ‘That is correct, I just needed to verify that the card has not been lost or stolen, and that you still have your card. Do you have any other questions?’ After you say No, the caller then thanks you and states, ‘Don’t hesitate to call back if you do, and hangs up.
You actually say very little, and th ey n ever ask for or tell you the Card number. But after we were called on Wednesday, we called back within 20 minutes to ask a question. Are we glad we did! The REAL VISA Security Department told us it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a new purchase of $497.99 was charged to our card.
Long story – short – we made a real fraud report and closed the VISA account. VISA is reissuing us a new number. What the scammers want is the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card Don’t give it to them. Instead, tell them you’ll call VISA or Master card directly for verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will never ask for a nyt hi ng on the card as they already know the information since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN Number, you think you’re receiving a credit. However, by the time you get your statement you’ll see charges for purchases you didn’t make, and by then it’s almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file a fraud report.
What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a ‘Jason Richardson of Master Card’ with a word-for-word repeat of the VISA scam. This time I didn’t let him finish. I hung up! We filed a police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking several of these reports daily! They also urged us to tell everybody we know that this scam is happening.
***********
So…worth the read huh? I thought so. I am not one to be so easily fooled but you never know if I am in a rush and/or caught off guard.  There have been a few scams like this over the years and my response is always hang up and call the number on your card to verify if there really is a problem.  If there is, you’ll know soon enough and if there isn’t, you’ll know you almost fell for a scam.  These types of scams always concern me when it comes to the older folks who I think they try to prey on the most. So please do your friends and family a favor and inform them….forewarned is forearmed.
Hi Rita: Some good questions.  I have a few more: Would she be speaking as the savior, the advocate for special needs kids if she didn’t have one of her own?  She cut the special needs budget by 62% (!), then she had her baby, who unfortunately has special needs. Of course NOW she’s going to support and be the poster mom. What does that say about her?
Doug:  I am blown away by those meth lab numbers! You bring up some good points. Here’s a few more that Moveon posted that I think are worth repeating:
  • Palin recently said that the war in Iraq is “God’s task.” She’s even admitted she hasn’t thought about the war much—just last year she was quoted saying, “I’ve been so focused on state government, I haven’t really focused much on the war in Iraq.” 1, 2
  • Palin has actively sought the support of the fringe Alaska Independence Party. Six months ago, Palin told members of the group—who advocate for a vote on secession from the union—to “keep up the good work” and “wished the party luck on what she called its ‘inspiring convention.’” 3
  • Palin wants to teach creationism in public schools. She hasn’t made clear whether she thinks evolution is a fact.4
  • Palin doesn’t believe that humans contribute to global warming. Speaking about climate change, she said, “I’m not one though who would attribute it to being manmade.” 5
  • Palin has close ties to Big Oil. Her inauguration was even sponsored by BP. 6
  • Palin is extremely anti-choice. She doesn’t even support abortion in the case of rape or incest. 7
  • Palin opposes comprehensive sex-ed in public schools. She’s said she will only support abstinence-only approaches. 8
  • As mayor, Palin tried to ban books from the library. Palin asked the library how she might go about banning books because some had inappropriate language in them—shocking the librarian, Mary Ellen Baker. According to Time, “news reports from the time show that Palin had threatened to fire Baker for not giving “full support” to the mayor.” 9
And in response to your comment Choe: Palin was an unknown here too until a week ago. I wouldn’t say that she has captured the hearts and minds of American women…Not this woman at least, and I’m sure many others feel as I do.  ZL: I’ll agree…she knows how to use that mouth…She’s got spunk and she’s smart, I’ll give her that, but she also seems mean spirited and not trustworthy – I’m not feeling a true sense of compassion in her words nor do I think her actions are altruistic. Choe, I support women who are going to support my needs and choices and she doesn’t. But there are women out there who support her; hopefully not enough to bring McCain into the White House.
Unfortunately many people will vote for her in regards to her speech and what she says ‘live’ as opposed to doing the ‘leg work’. I know because I used to be one of those.  I wasn’t into politics much or the issues and I never did the research, watched the news or read the paper much. I know, I was very uninformed.  I am much more involved now and I hope that many more Americans are too…but we’ll see…
Hi Maddie:  It’s good to hear from you. Wow – a lot to report. Shocking but par.  We all know that the Repugnicants will do whatever it takes to get into the White House for 4 more years. Screwing with the votes just can’t be an option anymore….something has to stop them from cheating and winning again.  It sounds like Anonz is working on it. Hi Anonz: It’s good to hear from you too. I hope in spite of everything you’re doing okay. You’ve obviously been busy. Our thoughts are with you. Your back is covered….go for it.
Hi Mark: Too raw for my blog? Ahahhaha!! No censoring here. Well, I guess a man does need something more than just a good fuck a few times a day…and I thought any man would be satisfied with just that….I guess I was wrong :) But joking aside what is it that you don’t like about your new cyborg wife besides the fact that she almost(?) broke your jaw?  I mean she should be the same person that she always was. So are you telling me getting laid a few times a day is not worth getting a slap in the face every once in awhile if she’s not happy with something that you did? I can’t imagine that she didn’t have a good reason to slap you otherwise she wouldn’t have. Maybe you have been lucky all of these years that your wife didn’t slap you until now….and look at the bright side, you are getting laid a lot more yes?
Look, I know I am treating this lightly and actually having a bit of fun but the truth is, there is nothing that I can do to help you get your wife back.  If your wife decided that she wanted to be a girl or a girlZ there is really nothing that I can do to bring her back. It was her choice to leave, and I doubt that she will be coming back if she hasn’t been sent back already. However, you are writing here, so maybe you will get a response from either your wife or Maddie. I have no info myself as I have no idea who your wife is. The girls read my blog and If she wants to respond to you, I am sure that she will on my blog. I am sorry that I do not have anything more to offer you…we will just have to wait and see.
Well that’s it for this morning…I’m done! I really didn’t mean for this to be this long but I also did not expect these comments that came in last night. Ha!…so much for a break from the election!
