The Blog is moving again!

Posted by Michelle on October 1, 2008

Good Morning!

For many months we have been setting up the new site and trying to move my blog seamlessly to another address making the transition easy for my readers. We have been working actively corresponding with tech and customer support, moving the blog to different hosts (twice now), in order to redirect the address to the new address and, unfortunately it has been quite challenging. I am still confident that my tech guy can pull this off, meaning that when you click on this blog: http://michellemoquin.wordpress.com in your browser, it will seamlessly take you over to the new blog without you having to enter in the new address: http://blog.michellemoquin.com.

However, in the mean time, we are going to prepare for the move manually like we did over 6 months ago when I moved my blog from my .mac account to here at WordPress.  And like I did before, I gave all of you enough of a notice before the blog made its final move. So, that being said, this is your notice:

THE NEW BLOG ADDRESS STARTING ON WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 15, 2008 WILL BE: http://blog.michellemoquin.com

Please add this new site to your Bookmarks Bar and your RSS feed.

The new blog is up and running now and virtually looks the same. Please feel free to check it out, but please do not go there and comment until the actual first day of the move, Wednesday October 15. Up until then please still read and comment here.  We will be uploading daily so that when the move is complete on Wednesday, the blog will be contemporary and there will be no reason for you to ever come back to this address again.  If the automatic redirect happens before then, I will inform you.  Any questions on this, blog me.

So why am I moving the blog?

Simple.  I know that you my readers count on me to write everyday.  And I love writing everyday,  but a girl has got to make a living.  As I mentioned last year, I wanted to start advertising. Nothing in your face, just a few ads here and there, and possibly some cool items to buy. If I can generate some revenue doing something that which I love to do, then it is time to grow this blog and get paid for my time. I know, for those of you that have been with me from the beginning, you thought I was going to be doing that here.  When I moved over to WordPress, I thought so too. Unfortunately this division of WordPress does not work that way…long story not worth getting in to.

So…there you have it. Feel free to comment.

Oh…and just so that you don’t forget about the move I will be doing a daily countdown just as I did before so that everyday you will be aware of the number of days left before the final move on Wednesday October 15. I know that most of you read daily, but I don’t want to lose any of you in the process of the change.

Thanks for your patience with this. I could use some as I have lost mine in these past months!

We are all World Citizens…Can we not wish the best for all?

Posted by Michelle on September 15, 2008

Italy:  You are correct – there are many who are bigoted but I don’t think those that are think that the world will go down in a blaze of smoke. No, the bigoted ones feel that McCain is the answer to our survival as a country: ‘God forbid a black president – no never! It will be the demise of America!’  Let’s hope that those who think that way will be the minority in this election.

Fredrick: The polls might be fixed…who knows.  Unfortunately common sense is not that common, and unfortunately you can’t learn it like one can acquire book smarts. Anyone can be informed and book smart with enough time and reading  but you can’t learn common sense. You either have it or you don’t…kind of like ’street smarts’. I would much rather be born ‘dumb’, so to speak, with common sense knowing that I can learn, than be brill with no common sense. Therefore in regards to this election, don’t rely on common sense…Hell, just getting past all of the BS so we can get to the issues is difficult.  No, good marketing of the candidates is usually how a party wins.  The people who don’t take the time to get informed will pick the person who’s in their face the most.  However, my feeling is because Obama is black, bigotry is playing a huge role this time around, and unfortunately it is more common than common sense.

Ivan: How sad. You sound angry and vindictive. You have grouped Russians together just like you have grouped Americans together by stating that ‘the US will finally get what they have wished upon Russia for the last ten years.’  Would I ever say that I welcome the downfall of another country? No, never.  What ever you are referring to here, it doesn’t really matter, but in defense I will say that I have never wished anything bad upon Russia or the Russians, or for any country for that matter.

Why would I not want the best for any country even if the country I reside in is not living up to it’s potential as a world leader? I guess that’s why the saying ‘Misery loves company’ is well known.  Yes, we vote into office who we feel will best run the country, or at least we try to – we all know corruption happens at the polls. But we also know that most of the time it is not the people of one country that strike a deal with another country; it is our governments, and the corps, and the bills that control the government. Our leaders have proven to be corrupt at the expense of the people. But back to you Ivan…What you are wishing upon us, for McCain to become President, will not only be bad for America but as Doug pointed out, the rest of the world too. How narrow minded your wish is.

Delatam: I agree with you…It will be the fall of Modern day Rome if McCain is elected.  Sad too that you wish it upon us.  Again, here you are giving shit to the white US citizens, and I may say rightfully so in many respects, but you, like Ivan are coming from a small place. McCain in office will only empower those whites leaving the OTW’s in a worse place than they are now.  Is that truly what you want? If not, then talk about ‘cutting off your nose…’  If so, then just say so instead of giving shit to the whites when you are acting just like one by giving your support to McCain.  You’ll be calling us bigger pigs if he becomes president with his policies.

Pierre: So you too are wishing for the fall of modern Rome. You don’t see it as a bad thing. Wow.

ZL: That Azir is interesting…I don’t get why he writes you personally and asks you to post it – why doesn’t he just comment on your blog? Looking forward to reading it.

Readers: How disappointing to get all of theses comments from people around the world that wish for the US to go down.  Yes, I believe in ‘an eye for an eye’ when it comes to perpetrators but when it comes to a country as a whole where innocent people are involved, I have never in my life wished for misery to rain on an entire country.  I see us as world citizens with different cultures and backgrounds living in different parts of the world, the space that we share. Yes some citizens are better than others but would I wish for the fall of a country just because of bad behavior of some of the citizens? Does the fall of a country make others feel greater? Seems so.  Or is it just the US because we are the preeminent world leader? What other country would you like to see in this position besides the US?

Hmmm…this world citizen thing…I realize we have a long way to go. Yes, there are many bigoted people in this country, but I believe bigotry unfortunately is part of humanity. What does it say when one points out bigotry of one country and then turns around and acts similarly? I don’t understand it. Until we as world citizens rid ourselves of this ‘disease’ we will never truly be equal citizens of one world.   In the big picture, the world is so small. It is too bad we can not share this space equally, and wish the best for all of the citizens. It is what I wish for.  Obama thinks of us as world citizens and will give us the platform; not McSame Same.

That’s my write for today…Carry on readers.

Peace for everyone and always….

michelle

Can you be open enough to see beyond your wildest imagination? Will you allow yourself?

Posted by Michelle on September 14, 2008

Good Morning.

Wow – I am blown away by your story Maya. For you this must’ve been especially amazing. What am I saying?!…For ANYONE…this would be as you said, ’stunning’.  We have all been told by the aliens on my blog  that religion was a myth made up for humans to keep us in line so to speak. That without religion we would pretty much be more greedy and more barbaric to each other and that because of the ‘fear of God’ many ‘behave’ just that much more kind to each other…if you can call this world ‘kind’.

Hmmm…I find it quite amusing that dear Elijah wished he had taken on that ‘job’ of Jesus. I wish that I was with you Girls to experience this fascinating planet Jehu and to sip wine with Elijah. (Girlz to be: A test was given. No one wrote in to acknowledge the test.) Please tell him if you visit again that I would be delighted to meet him too.  I love those with a great sense of humor, and he obviously has one.

Still…I am curious as to where Jesus is residing now. Perhaps a trip there sometime?

Hi Courtney:  Not sure if you were talking about my article or Maya’s story but either way happy that you read what you needed to hear.

Hello Barbara:  Open your mind. Is it not possible for there to be other life forms other than us humans?  To me that is not a difficult thing to imagine let alone be a reality. To me strong female role models are women who aren’t trapped by what society expects or pinned to any ideology. A strong female role model doesn’t close her mind to those things that can not be proven, but looks past the obvious and sees the possibilities of what is not seen. I am open and boundless with my imagination, my thoughts…etc., and if I can inspire women, or men to being more open and courageous in their thinking, to see another side and not be so heavily influenced by what society imparts on them…to have a mind of their own, then I am happy to be a role model if that is what I am seen as.  But don’t expect me to be a role model strictly under the definition of your role model.

I think Shelly was talking to you and I have to agree with her words, as I have said them before….’If it bothers you don’t read it’. And I will add, “Read what you like, what inspires you, but I might also suggest to try to be open to the possibilities of other worldly existence.  You certainly can not prove that there isn’t. Obviously you have been reading here for a while and you keep coming back.  There’s a reason for this. You might learn something valuable about yourself if you can expand your mind. :) Will you allow yourself?

Hey Charles: No, all men aren’t bad and no one is saying they are. You do have company :)

Hello Anon:  I’m not sure why you are reading this shit – why are you? And by the way ’sacred’ to me is a term that is different for everyone…What is sacred to one may not be sacred to another. No one is insulting religion; just giving another viewpoint. If you don’t like it, there are plenty of other blogs that will identify with your religion. Bit if you want something to shake up your world, give you another viewpoint, expand your mind, then stick around.

Hi Tony:  I’m sure you’ve heard of the ‘boys club’…well, for once in this world, this is  the ‘girls club’. Sorry, no one with a head between their legs is allowed. :-P

Hi Annie:  The girls are picked if they state an interest in going. Simple as that. We had a ‘call’ awhile ago but I am sure that there is room for more. You can try emailing me but it is my instinct that Tal will be reading this and he will get ahold of you.

Hi Yuki:  To my knowledge there are girls from all over the world up in space now. If you would like to be considered, I am assuming you are asking, yes? Then, I am pretty sure you will be contacted.

Hello women of Cambodia! Thank you for the ‘love’.

Hi Umeyo:  Would you like to be a girl too? 女の子であるのを好むもか。

Running late…got to sign off. As always…

I’m done.

Posted by Michelle on September 13, 2008

I was talking to a good friend of mine the other day catching up as we hadn’t seen each other in a very long time. Of course the election came up and we started chatting about you-know-who.  I began to tell her that you-know-who had been the focus of my blog and conversations for the past two weeks. That I was feeling obsessed over all of the drama around her.  She mentioned that she had thoughts about her but that she hadn’t really discussed it with anyone. Hmm..I thought that was very interesting.

Then she brought up the ‘pain body’ from Eckhart Tolle’s  book, ‘A New Earth’ and we chatted on about how Eckhart says that the voice in the head has a life of it’s own. How most people are at the mercy of that voice; they are possessed by thought, by the mind. I realized that in regards to this election and really mostly in regards to the negatives that the media in this election is bringing out, I knew that I was feeling this lately: possessed. I have control over my thoughts. I know this. However lately, I have let my thoughts run random in my head from everything that I have been seeing and reading, and yes I have been a bit obsessive. I admit it.

And I am sure there are many of you out there feeling the same way. I also know that it is time to stop giving you-know-who so much of my focus and focus on the outcome that I want. And furthermore, as Doug said to me later on, “The media is wrapped up in all of this BS and so are the people. Let’s focus on the issues.” So true. Obama has been stating the same over and over. It is time we do just that.

So that being said, now that we are all informed of the drama circulating, all the ‘he said, she said’, all of the family matters, all of the incompetence…its a bit like high school drama – eek! I’m done. I say let’s change the focus to what upsets us, to what we don’t want for this country, and focus and visualize on what we do want. Let’s give power, universal collective power to what we want to happen, to what is important to us and leave all of the BS behind. I’m sure something will surface again; the repugnicants are famous for bringing up trash and marketing it well so that we, the people fall into their traps, focusing on all of the drama instead of the issues. It happens every election. And the media is a perpetrator too.  But let’s be smart…informed…but smart and let’s not fall into the trap this time.

Everyone who knows me or reads my blog knows I’m voting for Obama/Biden.  As I said above, ‘I’m done with the drama. I’m going to focus on who I want to win this election and the important matters: The issues.’

Readers: Who ever you’re voting for, are you done with the BS and ready to focus on what’s really important? Comments? Blog me.

Doug: Loved your comment yesterday. Right on and straight forward.

That’s it for today….

Peace and Love: Live it, give it.

This n’ that chit-chat…

Posted by Michelle on September 8, 2008

Hi Miki:  I know I would enjoy the love letter;  I am an incurable romantic, so please post it so I can delight in the excitement and passion of it. I’m sure there are many readers who would appreciate it too.

And…I agree with you wholeheartedly – you should not lose your emotional connection to events that you encounter especially in areas of love…to feel love, be loved, and make love. Yummy.

Hi Nicole: Not sure what  you mean by ‘letting space aliens in and keeping earth aliens out.’ Are you talking about getting in on my blog or something else?  Hmm.. too early for me to tell so I will move on.

But in answer to your inquiry and Cady’s comment, Palin is going to be interviewed, supposedly  by ABC’s Charles Gibson  later on this week for her first television interview. She better be.  I hear ya loud and clear.  She needs to be interviewed, especially on questions besides those about her family. Been there, done that, move on. She’s running for veep; its time to put her into the pits. Of course, Fox News would rather not:

“Why would we want to throw Sarah Palin into a cycle of piranhas called the news media that have nothing better to ask questions about than her personal life and her children?” Davis said. “So until at which point in time we feel like the news media is going to treat her with some level of respect and deference, I think it would be foolhardy to put her out into that kind of environment.”

Blah, blah blah…throw her into the piranhas – we need to see how she handles herself. ‘Palin, if you can’t handle the news media asking questions about your family how are you ever going to be able to handle tougher questions that deal with, HELLO, The World!’ Besides I’m sick of hearing about her family, let’s deal with some real world issues now and see what this woman is made of. After all she is a ‘pit bull with lipstick’ – she said so herself – so throw her in the pits! Let her prove she’s a woman of mettle if she can.   I want to know if she could handle it.  Tell me, if she were a man, would she be getting this treatment? I think not. This sequestering is bs, and if she truly was ready to do the job she would be demanding the interviews herself, and saying screw you to the Repugs who are obviously controlling her every move….’only if it serves the tickets purpose’, only if it’s in our best interest.’ Ah…how about if it serves the people’s purpose and it’s in the best interest of the people!  She could be our next President should McPain get in and kick the bucket. You said it Brenda:  McPain would rather win the election than leave his country with a qualified veep.

Hi Donna: Ditto – And like Palin can replace Hillary just because she is a woman. What a slap in the face to the intelligence of women…Like any woman will do. – yeah right. I am a Hillary supporter and Hillary she is not.  But Palin seems to think she can get the women voters. Unfortunately she will get the pro lifers and for those that won’t do their research, and base their decision on her ‘prepared’ speeches, yes Sylvia, she’ll snag those dumb ones too.

Speaking of doing your research, Doug found something very interesting: Anne Kilkenny is a resident of Wasilla, and an informed democrat  who attended every city council meeting in Palin’s first year in office. Anyway, she sent an email to her mom in California on Aug 31, 2008, and by Sunday the email was in the hands of 48 people.

As of last night, it got emailed to thousands and more as has finally reached the Huff. And, she has been interviewed by the NY Times and NPR recently since the email blast.  Interested in hearing what she had to say about Palin? You can read the Anne Kilkenny email on Sarah Palin that everyone is talking about at Doug’s blog today.

Hey ZL: I didn’t read it all either…too much bs to swim through.  Madaline, as always has such a way with words and is so right on – ya gotta love her. Looking forward to your response to, as Maddie’s calls him, ‘the little penis wonder’ – ahahha! That is just too funny. I would love to hear from a muslim man who will not only call the Koran like it truly is but stand up for equality too. Anyone out there? Ah…maybe too much to ask.

Oh..before I forget, I will end it with this pretty incredible and eye opening video that the Huff put out. It is around 9 minutes long but worth the see. Since Obama’s church was put to the test, how about a view of Palin’s Sunday go?

Readers:  Thoughts? Blog me.

Peace out and always….
